Terms of use
Last updated 2026-10-31These terms are the agreement between you and Tóth Lóránt e.v. ("Dopler", "we", "us") for using Tavilio. They have two parts. Part 1 applies to every Dopler service. Part 2, below it on the same page, covers what is specific to Tavilio. Where Part 2 says something more specific than Part 1, Part 2 applies.
By creating an account, buying a plan or using an API key, you accept these terms. If you use a service for a company or other organisation, you accept them for that organisation and confirm you may do so.
Part 1: All Dopler services
Tóth Lóránt e.v., a sole proprietorship (egyéni vállalkozó) registered in Hungary.
- Registered address: 1134 Budapest, Kassák Lajos utca 67/B, Hungary
- Registration number: 52097030
- Tax number: 68682398-1-41 (EU VAT HU68682398)
- Email: support@dopler.app
The contract is concluded in English, by electronic means. It is not filed as a separate document; these terms, as published on this page with the date at the top, are the record of it, and you can save or print them at any time.
You must be at least 16 years old. To buy a paid plan you must be at least 18, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. Part 2 may set a higher age where a connected platform requires it.
Give accurate details when you sign up and keep them current. Keep your password, API keys and tokens secret; you are responsible for what happens under your account and keys, including actions taken by AI assistants or tools you connect. Revoke a key at once if you think it has leaked, and tell us if you think your account has been misused.
You may not use a Dopler service to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights of others;
- send spam, malware, phishing or misleading content;
- harass, threaten or harm anyone, or publish content that sexualises minors, incites violence or is hateful;
- probe, overload or disrupt the service, get around its limits or security, or access other customers' data;
- resell or rebrand the service except where your plan allows it.
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. If you think we acted in error, write to us and a person will review it.
You keep all rights to the content you create, upload or publish. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, transmit and display it only as far as needed to run the service for you, for as long as you keep it on the service. You are responsible for having the rights to your content and for what it says.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
The services, their code, designs and brands belong to us or our licensors. Open-source parts are licensed under their own licences, which these terms do not limit. Apart from what those licences and your plan allow, you get no rights in our software or brands.
Plans, payment and renewal
Prices are shown on each service's pricing page, in the currency shown at checkout. Checkout shows whether VAT is included or added for where you are, before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the service's settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then. Usage credits expire as Part 2 says. We may change prices for future periods; we will tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
If a payment fails, we may pause paid features until it succeeds. Apart from your right of withdrawal below, or where the law says otherwise, payments are not refundable.
Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
If you are a consumer (buying for yourself, not for a business) in the European Union, you may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the contract, without giving a reason, under Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) and EU Directive 2011/83/EU. To withdraw, send a clear statement to support@dopler.app, for example: "I withdraw from my contract for (plan), bought on (date)." We refund all payments within 14 days, to the original payment method.
- Subscriptions and other services: if you asked us to start the service during the 14 days, you pay for the part provided up to your withdrawal. Once the service has been fully provided at your express request, you cannot withdraw.
- Digital content not on a physical medium (such as downloads, licences and source code): at checkout you ask us to deliver it at once and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery begins.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the services available and secure, but we do not promise they will be uninterrupted or free of faults. Services that depend on third parties (payment providers, social platforms, AI providers, hosting) can be affected by changes on their side that we do not control. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a feature that is a material part of a paid plan, or close a service, we give you at least 30 days' notice, a way to export your data, and a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the time you can no longer use.
The services are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost revenue, lost data or lost goodwill, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period, or EUR 100 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for harm to life, body or health, or any liability that cannot be limited by law (Section 6:152 of the Hungarian Civil Code). If you are a consumer, these terms do not take away the rights the law gives you, including your rights if a service is not as described.
You can stop using a service and delete your account at any time. We may end the agreement or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason (with a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees). After your account ends, we delete your data as our privacy policy describes; you can export it first.
Privacy and processing terms
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. Where you collect personal data about others through a service (site visitors, subscribers, guests), you are the controller and we are your processor. For that processing we:
- act only on your documented instructions, which are these terms and how you use the service;
- keep the data confidential and limit access to the people who run the service;
- protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures;
- use only the providers listed in the privacy policy, under contracts with the same protections, and update that list before adding one, so you can object;
- help you answer requests from the people concerned and meet your security and breach-notification duties;
- tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting that data;
- delete or return it when the service ends, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- give you the information you need to show compliance, and allow reasonable audits.
This section is our data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR.
Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by Hungarian law. Courts in Hungary have jurisdiction, but if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may bring a claim there.
Please write to us first; most problems are solved that way. Consumers living in Hungary can also turn to the Budapest Conciliation Board (Budapesti Békéltető Testület, 1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99., bekeltet.hu), and consumer complaints can be made to the consumer protection authority of the competent government office.
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we tell account holders by email or in the product at least 30 days before they apply; you can cancel before then. The date at the top shows the current version.
Tavilio is software a venue uses to take reservations, keep a floor plan, publish a menu and run a small website. We provide the software and keep it running. We are not party to anything that happens between a venue and its guests: the booking is the venue's, the table is the venue's, and so is the obligation to honour it.
You must be entitled to represent the venue you register, and it must be a real one.
The plans, what each one holds and what it costs are on our pricing page, and the price shown there is the price charged. Hungarian venues are billed in forint, everyone else in euro.
- The free plan is free, needs no card, and carries our badge on the venue's site.
- Paid plans renew automatically — monthly on the same day each month, yearly on the same date each year — until they are cancelled.
- Payment is taken by Stripe. We never hold your card details.
- Prices exclude VAT where VAT applies, which is added at checkout on the basis of the address and tax number you give.
- Cancel whenever you like, from Plan & billing in your settings. The plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and does not renew after that.
- We do not refund part of a period unless the law where you are says otherwise, or unless we failed to provide the service and you ask.
- If a payment fails, we will retry it and tell you. A subscription left unpaid returns the venue to the free plan, and the free plan's limits then apply — your data stays, but what exceeds the limit becomes read-only rather than being deleted.
If we change a price, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before it applies to you, and it takes effect at your next renewal. You may cancel before then.
Your content, and your guests
Everything you put into Tavilio — your menu, your photographs, your website copy, your floor plan, your bookings — stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, process it and show it to the people you are showing it to, which is what running the service consists of.
You are responsible for what you publish: that you have the right to the images, that your menu is accurate, that your allergen information is right, and that your own terms and privacy notice say what your guests need to know.
For your guests' personal data you are the controller and we are your processor. We handle it on your instructions, only to provide the service. Our privacy policy sets out how, and it forms part of this agreement.
We work to keep Tavilio up, but we do not promise it will never be down. There is no uptime guarantee on any plan, and we may take the service down for maintenance. Where we can give notice of planned maintenance, we will.
We may change how Tavilio works. If we remove something you rely on, we will give reasonable notice and, where we can, a way to get your data out.
You can close your venue at any time from your settings. Deleting a venue deletes its data — its content, its uploaded files and its bookings — and that cannot be undone. Export anything you want to keep first.
We may end this agreement if you break these terms and do not put it right after we ask, or if we stop offering Tavilio altogether. In the second case we will give reasonable notice and will not charge you for a period you cannot use.
Your venue's obligations to its guests are yours, not ours. If a guest arrives and the table is not there, that is between you and the guest.
Write to us with anything about this document, or to exercise any of the rights above.
